There’s something special about art that’s made by hand, with emotion in every brushstroke or pencil stroke.

Hello

Solmaz Jensen from Vejle, Denmark. I am an independent visual artist whose creative practice is shaped by observation, emotion, and a desire to express quiet meaning through images.

I work primarily in charcoal and watercolor, using techniques rooted in continuous practice. For me, creating art is a full-time dedication, and I focus every day on developing new series in my studio. Every piece reflects my journey, and I am thrilled that my passion can bring beauty and inspiration into your space.

As a self-taught visual artist, I dedicated eight months to intensive online training.

Painting is the way I connect with my surroundings and give form to moments that feel honest and reflective.

My work grows from a search for clarity, balance, and emotional depth. A significant part of my artistic expression is rooted in realism.

I am drawn to the truth of real subjects and the challenge of capturing light, texture, and structure with care and precision. Realism allows me to observe the world with intention and recreate scenes that feel familiar yet quietly poetic. Through attention to detail, I try to reveal the beauty that often goes unnoticed in everyday life.Alongside realism.

I also explore abstraction. Abstraction gives me freedom to move beyond representation and focus on emotion, rhythm, and intuition. In these works, forms become simplified, colors take on expressive roles, and compositions reflect my inner landscape.

The balance between realism and abstraction has become an essential part of my artistic identity. At times, I incorporate elements of impressionism to capture atmosphere, light, and the feeling of a moment. On rare occasions.

I explore surreal ideas that invite imagination and dreamlike qualities into the work. These shifts keep my creative process open and evolving.

My primary mediums are charcoal and watercolor.

Charcoal gives me strong contrast and expressive marks that help build clear forms and tonal structure.

Watercolor adds softness, transparency, and a natural sense of movement. Working with these two mediums gives me a wide expressive range and keeps my practice dynamic.

I am inspired by landscapes, seascapes, and still life subjects. These themes allow me to explore atmosphere, movement, and quiet presence. My goal is not only to show what I see but to express how a moment feels.

Many viewers describe my work as calm, introspective, and emotionally grounded, and these qualities guide the way I create each piece. For accessibility and safe delivery, I make my artworks in A4 format. This keeps framing easy and makes shipping dependable. I want my art to feel simple to bring into any home.
