This abstract diptych was created using watercolor, white gouache, and Indian ink on handmade paper. The work developed through a process of layering, responding to the inherent qualities of the materials, and balancing controlled compositional decisions with spontaneous mark-making.
The composition is built upon the interaction between transparent and opaque surfaces, geometric structures, and expressive gestures. Rather than depicting a recognisable subject, the work focuses on rhythm, texture, spatial relationships, and the visual dialogue between colour and form.
Although each A6 panel can stand independently, both pieces share a common visual language and are intended to be experienced as a connected whole.
